The Supplier Development and Diversity Division, as a representative arm of the Prince George's County government, is committed to researching and recruiting the best LSMBEs to provide the products and services necessary for the successful operation of the County. We currently and will continue developing long-term relationships with LSMBEs, and we believe that creating a competitive, inclusive procurement environment will lead to more innovative solutions.
SDDD uses various tools and strategies to ensure diversity among its vendor partners. We use a strong outreach strategy to recruit and communicate with various businesses within the County. Additionally, we have created a Minority Business Enterprise Program (MBE) and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program to attract new businesses to assure diversity and inclusion.
Minority Individuals are defined as individuals who have been subjected to prejudice or cultural bias because of their identity as a member of a group in terms of race, color, ethnic origin, or gender, without regard to their individual capabilities.
