ABOUT US


The Supplier Development & Diversity Division (SDDD) is the primary advocate for local, small, disadvantaged, minority and veteran-owned businesses seeking to do business with Prince George’s County Government. SDDD helps ensure that there are strategic sourcing opportunities and assure that local businesses are afforded an equitable share of procurements and contracted dollar opportunities.

CERTIFICATION
 

SDDD is the official authorized certification agency for Prince George’s County. By becoming a certified business in Prince George’s County, your business may receive preference in procurement opportunities offered by Prince George’s County Government. PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITIES
 

In collaboration with the Contracts Administration & Procurement (CAP) division, SDDD helps provide equal access to procurement opportunities. SDDD encourages and assists businesses to apply for certification in the Certification & Compliance System (CCS). Businesses registered in SPEED will receive information regarding procurement opportunities with Prince George’s County Government. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
 

SDDD actively attends outreach events to share information about the Prince George’s County certification process. To have SDDD attend your event to share information about the certification process and requirements, email SDDD@co.pg.md.us.

In addition, SDDD hosts a monthly Business Certification Overview on the second Wednesday of each month to ensure that businesses are informed about the various types of certifications, the benefits of certification and the certification process. SDDD assists businesses to obtain the following certifications:

  • Reciprocal County Based Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
  • County Based Small Business (CBSB)
  • County Based Business (CBB)
  • County Located Business (CLB)
