New/Transfer Application Process

Hours of Operation
The hours of operation for any application/permit process are indicated below:

  • Application/Permit walk-thru hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Renewal application walk-thru hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

 

New applications are accepted according to the Hearing Schedule. Please verify that date to file for the type of license you are interested in applying. Applications MUST BE TYPED.

Transfers follow the same workflow except that the application will be accepted for any filing deadline.

Complete the application to include affidavits for all licensees, stockholders, owner, or sole proprietors. File the application with the required fee of $700.00 payable to Prince George's County by certified check, cashier's check or money order.

Applications for an alcoholic beverage license are required to have a Criminal Background Check. Complete the Live Scan Pre-Registration Application. Fingerprints can be submitted at numerous locations throughout the State of Maryland. Personal Information Sheets must also be completed with the new and transfer application process. 

The Board will send a notice indicating the date and time of the hearing.
