Intern Program

The Educational Intern Program is designed to provide unique learning opportunities for students interested in law enforcement.

An intern must be associated with an educational institution or another organization that sponsors internships as part of an educational program.  Interns are placed where they will acquire experience associated with their educational program and also provide research and support to the Department. 

The department may limit the number of interns accepted based upon its needs and workload.  Minimum qualifications for internships with the Police Department are as follows: 

• 3.0 Grade Point Average
• Internship/Independent Study option for school credit only
• Enjoy working with people
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Own reliable transportation
