Chanda Mancis, PhD is the of Director of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education at Howard University.
Dr. Macias is a graduate of Howard University and Rutgers University, and graduated from Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS).
Experience & Accomplishments
As a longtime resident of Prince George’s County, she has worked intensely to create outreach programs in STEM education. These efforts include:
Coordinating the pre-college for Engineering Systems Summer Outreach Program for PGCPS students
Developing full research and training proposals
Hosting open houses at Howard University
Serving as a Prince George’s Science Fair Judge
Serving on both the PGCPS Career Academy Advisory Board and the Project Lead The Way Pre-Engineering Advisory Board
Sponsoring PGCPS teachers to attend technical conferences
