What are you doing this summer? Join us for the Summer Youth Enrichment Program (SYEP). This six-week program provides summer employment opportunities for Prince George’s County youth ages 14 to 22.

Capstone Learning Programs (Ages 14 and 15)
Youth ages 14 and 15 are provided 24 hours per week job training and career exploration in one of the Capstone experiences. The focus areas are in the field of Beautification, Construction, Culinary Arts, Energy Education, Leadership/Career Development, Healthcare Research, Bio-science, Cyber Security and Homeland Security

Government and Nonprofit Organization Experience (Ages 16 and 17)
Youth ages 16 and 17 are assigned to work 32 hours per week in a government or nonprofit organization and learn of the vast career opportunities from agriculture, information technology, life guards, summer camps and more.

Business and Trade Opportunities (Ages 18 to 22)
Youth ages 18 to 22 are employed up to 40 hours per week with many of our local businesses including Pepco, MGM, Six Flags America, and more.

The SYEP program provides youth with the opportunity to:
  • Earn money while gaining meaningful work experience;
  • Learn skills that will prepare you for future employment opportunities; and
  • Gain valuable exposure to various work experiences and environments.
