Prince George’s County is proud to offer learning opportunities to the workforce through the Career Enrichment Center (CEC) managed by the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM). With a mix of instructor-led, online, webinars and blended course offerings, employees will gain the skills needed to be successful working in County government and beyond.
The mission of the Career Enrichment Center (CEC) is to provide a learning program that will serve to support the professional growth and development of the Prince George’s County workforce. By leveraging partnerships with surrounding educational institutions and professional organizations, CEC will provide instructor-led, online and blended courses under a leadership series, professional development coaching, supervisor/manager training, and other learning programs designed to help the workforce reach their personal and organizational potential.
In carrying out this mission, CEC’s philosophy has two (2) main components. The first component is an assurance that the learning activities will be meaningful. The second is an assurance that the learning activities will be geared toward the skills and competencies needed to be successful in their jobs and grow in their careers. To that end, County’s Learning Management System (LMS) will be the primary tool used to access the available learning activities and store employee’s training history.
