Community Affairs

Through work with civic and neighborhood organizations, a speaker's bureau, public appearances by the State's Attorney and other staff, community meetings and outreach activities, the Unit educates the public about public safety and the criminal justice system.

We seek to:

  • Represent the State’s Attorney’s Office at community events, boards, and stakeholder meetings
  • Initiate community outreach and educational programs on behalf of the State's Attorney
  • Represent the interests of law enforcement agencies before the Maryland General Assembly
  • Serve as a liaison among other government agencies and constituents
