Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. The purpose of the Father’s Day Pledge Initiative is to bring fathers, young men, uncles, women, businesses, and community organizations together to take action and inspire change to prevent violence against women, led by men. Additionally, several fathers and/or father figures will be acknowledged by the Prince George's County Commission on Father's Men and Boys.
