Prince George’s Police Officer Tristan Thigpen Indicted For Sex Abuse of a Minor

 – Today, a Prince George’s County grand jury returned an indictment against a county police officer, Tristan Thigpen, age 35, on charges of sex abuse with a minor, third degree sex offense, second degree assault and related charges for an incident that occurred in April of this year.

 

OnJuly 12, 2020, Prince George’s Police responded to a report of sexual abuse
that occurred on April 1, 2020 in which Officer Thigpen sexually abused,assaulted, and engaged in sexual contact with a minor, who at the time was a
member of his household.

 

Ifconvicted on all charges, Thigpen faces up to 35 years in prison.

 

An indictment contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
