Rhonda L. Weaver

Rhonda Weaver was appointed by County Executive Angela Alsobrooks as County Attorney on January 3, 2019.  Ms. Weaver has been a resident of the County for over 40 years and has spent the vast majority of her legal career working for local governments. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, she completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Judith Bartnoff, Associate Judge, D.C. Superior Court. She then joined the Prince George's County Office of Law where she initially represented the Department of Social Services. She was later transferred to the Major Litigation Division and represented the County and County employees in civil litigation matters. 

Rhonda then joined the Anne Arundel County Office of Law as Senior Assistant County Attorney, handling employment litigation cases and providing legal advice regarding employment issues. She later became Assistant Personnel Officer, serving as Principal Assistant to the Personnel Officer handling employee and labor relations matters. In 2011, Rhonda returned to Prince George's County as Deputy Director and Chief Labor Negotiator with the Office of Human Resources. In March 2016, Rhonda was hired as County Attorney for Charles County, Maryland, where she served until returning to the County in her current role.
