October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence affects people of all ages and backgrounds. Join us in the national effort to uplift survivors and raise awareness.
Community Voices: Purple Light Nights is an annual television special produced by PGCC TV in partnership with the Prince George’s Police Department Domestic Violence Unit, Prince George’s County Sheriff John D.B. Carr, and the PGCC Campus Police to bring attention to Domestic Violence Awareness in October.
Domestic Violence Resources
The Family Services Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Division helps people affected by domestic violence, human trafficking, or sexual assault. They organize services and programs and advocate for victims and their families.
Get Domestic Violence Intervention information from the Office of the Sheriff. This includes help with:
- protective orders,
- case updates, and
- resources for shelter and support.
