2. How can I identify a drainage ditch?

Drainage Ditches (Swales) can be either concrete or earthen, are generally smaller in size compared to channels and can run along roadways, down through properties, etc. but are generally only in use for rain.

3. How can I identify a sinkhole?

Sinkholes are generally in grassy areas but can be in the roadway too. They can be around storm drain inlets, storm drain pipes, utility boxes, etc.

4. How can I identify a storm drain?

Storm drain inlets can be curb inlets, grated inlets or yard inlets.

5. How can I identify a storm drain pipe?

Storm Drain pipes can be in the roadway, that are not part of a full storm drain system, but stand-alone pipes that also convey storm waters. This conveyance can be for waters simply crossing the roadway, which is called a Cross Pipe. Or there’s those running down alongside or parallel with the roadway, which usually just convey waters underneath of driveways, which is considered a Driveway Pipe.
