Acting Director Duane Prophet previously held the position of Director of Digital Government in the Office of Information Technology. Before his promotion, he served as the Office of Information Technology's Applications & Web Division Chief and led the development of applications that support all Prince George's County agencies and their residents. He also directed major initiatives to modernize government services in the County and played a key role in developing the strategic direction for cloud enablement.

Duane joined Prince George's County Government after a 16-year tenure with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation. As the Data Relationship Manager, he mapped technological advancements and transformed business processes throughout the organization.
