4th Annual Latinas in Aviation Global Festival
Sept. 14 | Join us for an incredible festival that honors Latina pioneers in aviation! The day will be filled with fun demonstrations, activities for kids, tasty food, community art, storytime in both English and Spanish, and the chance to meet authors. Plus, there will be giveaways!
Hispanic Festival (40th Anniversary)
Sept. 15 | The Hispanic Festival brings over 15,000 people to Lane Manor Park in Hyattsville! Families from all over come to enjoy live shows, music, dancing, tasty ethnic food, fun activities for kids and teenagers, games, arts and crafts, a special area with attractions, shows, and much more.
UMGC Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Sept. 18 | Join the UMGC community for an in-person celebration of Latin American diversity. Dive into the vibrant ways of life and traditions that Latin American countries offer. Try out various foods, listen to music from different regions, learn how to dance, and learn more about Hispanic cultures in the Gallery Walk of Facts.
9th Annual Festival del Rio
Sept. 21 | Bring your family to celebrate the outdoors and the Anacostia River at the 9th Annual Festival del Rio Anacostia! Enjoy hands-on activities, crafts, entertainment, delicious food, fishing demos, live animals, and free boat rides and giveaways.

“Sofia and Her Bomba Drum”: A Musical Adventure with Author Isha M. Renta - Presented by the Prince George’s County Latino Advisory Board
Oct. 1 | Come and have fun with author Isha M. Renta as she introduces kids to the exciting world of Bomba music! At this event, Isha will show how the Bomba drum works and share its special story.
