Prince George's County Government Will Close Tomorrow, January 7, 2025 Due to Winter Weather

LARGO, MD –  Prince George’s County Government buildings will be closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, due to the inclement weather. Essential employees must report to work on time or telework as directed by their agency. Non-essential employees will be granted administrative leave unless they are:

  • A telework program participant (routine and non-routine)
  • On pre-approved leave (paid or unpaid) or other time off
  • On an Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) day off, or other non-workday

TheBus will operate on a Saturday schedule, beginning at 6:00 AM. For real-time information, route tracking, and service alerts, residents can access PGCConnect or call 301-324-2877. Call-A-Bus and PGC Link will only provide dialysis transportation. Transportation to all other medical appointments has been suspended. To reschedule any canceled reservations, residents may call 301-499-8603.

Trash and recycling collection will be suspended on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, and will resume on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, weather permitting. In addition, all bulky, scrap tires or white goods scheduled for collection on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, will be rescheduled.

The Prince George’s County Courthouse is also closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

PGC311 will operate on a normal schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Residents can contact PGC311 with questions related to County government operations and services.
