The Office of Professional Standards and Compliance is responsible for:

Providing management advisory and consultation services in the area Departmental discipline and supervisory roles/responsibilities in the disciplinary process

Providing investigatory services concerning alleged misconduct and/or performance issues

Preparation of preliminary disciplinary documents for managers and formal disciplinary documents for the Office of the Fire Chief

Representing the Department in Personnel Board and Unemployment Compensation hearings ensuring that the Department's interests are properly established

Providing training regarding discipline, due process, and management
