Erma Barron

Erma W. Barron has been a resident of Prince George’s County since 1968. She moved to the County from Baltimore where she attended Morgan State University. 

Experience & Positions
 

  • Assisted the first Prince George’s County Commission for Women by chairing its Public Advisory Committee on Women of Low Income
  • Served on the Board of Directors of the Family Crisis Center during its very early years
  • Joined and worked with local chapters of such organizations as the NAACP, the National Women’s Political Caucus, and the National Council of Negro Women to improve the social, political and economic status of women and minorities in the county
