As we embark on the month of October, we would like to recognize both Black Business Month and Hispanic Heritage Month. OOP Director Confirmation - Acting Director Pamela Ford Dickerson was confirmed as the inaugural Director of OOP on September 17, 2024!
With over 20 years of experience in public procurement, contract compliance, and public policy, Director Dickerson is well-prepared to lead the new office. She previously served as Deputy Director of the Office of Central Services (OCS) since July 2023 and has a proven track record in managing complex procurement operations.
“I am honored and excited to lead the new Office of Procurement." said Pamela. "I look forward to building on the significant steps already taken under County Executive Alsobrooks' administration to streamline our contracting processes and increase efficiency. Together, we will continue to foster transparency, promote equity, and create opportunities for small, local, and minority-owned businesses to thrive in our community.
New Outreach Point of Contact - We are excited to share that Christopher Kelly, Outreach Manager, is embarking on a new adventure outside the Office of Procurement. He has been a bright light in our office and has made significant contributions to our community. We sincerely thank him for his dedicated service and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
