OOP Director Confirmation - Acting Director Pamela Ford Dickerson was confirmed as the inaugural Director of OOP on September 17, 2024!

With over 20 years of experience in public procurement, contract compliance, and public policy, Director Dickerson is well-prepared to lead the new office. She previously served as Deputy Director of the Office of Central Services (OCS) since July 2023 and has a proven track record in managing complex procurement operations.

“I am honored and excited to lead the new Office of Procurement." said Pamela. "I look forward to building on the significant steps already taken under County Executive Alsobrooks' administration to streamline our contracting processes and increase efficiency. Together, we will continue to foster transparency, promote equity, and create opportunities for small, local, and minority-owned businesses to thrive in our community.

 

New Outreach Point of Contact - We are excited to share that Christopher Kelly, Outreach Manager, is embarking on a new adventure outside the Office of Procurement. He has been a bright light in our office and has made significant contributions to our community. BUSINESS GROWTH

This month, OOP is excited to announce the Prince George’s County FY25 Green Book will be released.  This annual publication provides the FY25 procurement forecast, county-wide spending goals by agency, and more.  Stay tuned for more information on our website.

The work Consist of clearing grubbing, tree removal, excavation and restoration of channel, stream dragging, excavating stream bank area to increase floodplain storage volume as shown in contract plans. Project scope includes Erosion and Sediment control, slope stabilization using Riprap and stabilization matting, Salvage and spread topsoil, Riparian area permanent seeding, Wetland Meadow seeding, Turfgrass establishment, and landscaping and other miscellanies items.
