Samantha Howard is a seasoned professional with a remarkable track record spanning over eighteen years in higher education as a community liaison. Her expertise is deeply rooted in understanding the needs of Prince George’s County's Hispanic/Latino population, along with a profound knowledge of community organizations and partnerships. Her commitment to nurturing strong community relationships is unwavering.

Prior to her role in County Government, Samantha served as the Coordinator of Recruitment and Community Relations at Prince George’s Community College for over fifteen years. During her tenure, she championed the cause of underrepresented student populations, forged valuable community partnerships, and broadened recruitment opportunities for Hispanic/Latino residents. Notably, she advocated for inclusive language in the college's application process and spearheaded initiatives to eliminate out-of-state tuition for undocumented County residents and DACA recipients.

Samantha's passion for serving the Hispanic/Latino community and other underrepresented groups in Prince George’s County is evident in her words: "I am genuinely excited to take on the role of Latino Affairs Liaison. My dedication to this community has driven me throughout my career, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to leverage my experience and leadership for the betterment of my community."

Samantha Howard was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and has been a resident of Prince George's County since 1989. She earned her General Studies Associate of Arts in Communication/Speech from Prince George’s Community College and continued her education at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Samantha has received numerous accolades, including Mentor of the Year, the Student Services Cracker Jack Award, and the Envision Success Star during her time at PGCC.

In her leisure time, Samantha enjoys traveling with her husband and four children, as well as attending cultural events and the theatre. Her commitment to community and her rich professional background makes her an invaluable asset to Prince George's County and its Hispanic/Latino community.
