Theft From Auto Prevention

If you have received a notice on your vehicle, please note that it is NOT a ticket.

In our ongoing effort to reduce the number of thefts from autos, our officers noticed that there were items visible in your vehicle that might attract a thief.

The notice we left is a reminder that leaving anything in plain sight could end up with your vehicle being broken into.

Please help us prevent this type of crime by following these tips:

1. Remove all visible valuables including all cell phones, laptops, and non-factory installed electronic equipment like GPS.
2. Always lock your doors and roll up your windows even when parked in front of your home.
3. Park your vehicle in well-lit areas.
4. Never leave your vehicle registration or other personal documents in your car.
