The month of May is National Bike Month!! Vision Zero Prince George’s and the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) are Prince George’s Proud to celebrate National Bike Month and support Bike to Work Day on May 19th by encouraging cyclists of all abilities to cycle before work on Bike to Work Day. 2023 marks the 22nd Anniversary of Bike to Work Day in the region. The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG), Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) are coordinating approximately 100 Bike to Work Day events across the region including 10 pit stops in Prince George’s County.
The Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation and the Department of Parks and Recreation of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) are leveraging community networks through the Prince George’s Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Community Safety Group to co-host a Bike to Work Day Pit Stop in the parking lot of the Largo/Kettering/Perrywood Community Center at 431 Watkins Park Drive in Upper Marlboro. The Bike to Work Day Pit Stop will operate from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, May 19th. BIKE TO WORK DAY - Friday, May 19, 2023
