Incident Management
Inter-Agency Coordination
Implementation of Prince George's County's TRIP Center has enhanced communication and inter-agency coordination among Prince George's County's public safety agencies, Maryland State Highway Administration, Washington Council of Governments, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), District of Columbia and Montgomery County Departments of Transportation and other surrounding jurisdictions.
Sharing Information
Prince George's County TRIP Center personnel monitor County arterial roadways and respond to roadway-related problems. When necessary, staff coordinate road closure activities with the County's public safety agencies. During such activities, staff collect and analyze traffic data and share relevant transportation information with emergency service providers. A sampling of shared information includes:
- Traffic and Roadway Data Related to Incident Location and Duration
- Identified Factors Significant to Delayed Response Times
- Traffic Counts and Route Analysis
- Alternate Routes
- Emergency Incident Response Statistics
