Municipal Affairs

The Municipal Affairs Liaison serves as the bridge between the County Executive’s Office and Prince George’s County’s 27 municipalities. The role of the Municipal Liaison is to ensure that the municipal leaders and their staff members have a dedicated connection to the Alsobrooks Administration.

Initiatives

The Municipal Affairs Liaison convenes mayors on a regular basis for in-person updates with Deputy Chief Administration Officers, county agencies, and with County Executive Alsobrooks.  Frequent webinars are hosted to provide municipal leadership with valuable information on specific topics related to services and programs within the County. Each municipality is a unique and independently governed area. Accordingly, the Municipal Liaison is tasked with integrating various stakeholder groups such as faith communities, multicultural affairs, veterans, and LGBTQIA+ when interacting with each municipality.
