Acting Prince George's County Executive Tara H. Jackson Named To Maryland Association of Counties 2025 Board of Director
LARGO, MD – Acting Prince George’s County Executive Tara H. Jackson was installed as a member of the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Board of Directors for 2025 during the MACo Winter Conference Inaugural Banquet in Cambridge, MD on Thursday, December 12. Board of Directors officers/members are elected by MACo membership, which is comprised of elected officials from all 23 counties and Baltimore City. This is Acting County Executive Jackson’s first term on the Board.
“I am honored to serve on the 2025 MACo Board of Directors, collaboration is especially vital as we all navigate budget shortfalls while striving to meet the needs of our communities. I am eager to work alongside other dedicated county executives and leaders from across Maryland to share ideas, address common challenges, and advance initiatives that strengthen local governance, improve essential services, and enhance the quality of life for all Marylanders,” said Acting County Executive Jackson.
The MACo Board of Directors is made up of 16 county elected officials. The MACo membership selects these county leaders to serve the interests of the Association, oversee its management and strategic direction, and maintain and develop relationships with other parties with whom MACo and counties regularly interact. The Board of Directors works collaboratively with the MACo Legislative Committee, which sets policy positions for the Association and directs its legislative advocacy priorities.
