Tree Trimming & Down Trees

The Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) removes and performs elevation trimming of trees that are in the County rights-of-way. The County trees must be maintained to control their growth and to assure that they don't present a safety hazard to motorists or pedestrians by obstructing sight distances. The Department provides or coordinates this service on a 5-7 year basis, in addition to removing dead trees as necessary.
