Route 18
A cross county service, Route 18 extends from the Takoma Langley Transit Center to the Addison
Road Metrorail Station. Numerous neighborhoods are served by this route including Takoma
Langley, Hyattsville, Bladensburg, and Capitol Heights. As the route circulates south, service is
also provided to the Hyattsville Crossing and Cheverly Metrorail Station. After serving communities
along MD Route 704/M. L. King Jr. Highway the route culminates at the Addison Road Metrorail
Station in Capitol Heights. Key stops along the northern segment of the route include Capital
Bikeshare at Takoma Langley Transit Center, Langley Park Plaza, The Mall at Prince George’s,
Bladensburg Branch Library, and the Prince George’s Public Playhouse. Key Stops along the
southern segment of the route include the Cheverly Metrorail Station, King Shopping Center, and
the Seat Pleasant Activity Center.
UPDATES
Effective December 4, 2023, Route 18 runs every 20 minutes until 8:00 p.m., Monday through
Saturday. There are additional Takoma Langley-bound trips originating at Cheverly Metrorail Station
beginning at 5:20 a.m. Route 18 stops inside the Hyattsville Crossing Metrorail Station at Bus Bays
D and E and no longer stops at the Belcrest Road stops outside of the station.
