TheBus Service Changes

TheBus is making changes to improve on-time performance and better connect riders to destinations.

In Spring 2024, TheBus released proposed service changes and collected public feedback through a dedicated project site and nine outreach events, including a virtual town hall, in-person pop-ups, and ride-along. After receiving over 200 responses, TheBus revised and finalized the service change.

Effective June 3, 2024, the following changes will take effect:

• New routing and new stops: 15X, 21X, 28, 30, 33, 36, 37
• Eliminated stops: 28, 35, 53
• Schedule change and/or lower frequency: 15X, 17, 26, 33, 36, 37
• New routes, providing rush hour service Monday-Friday: 27 (Landover - Downtown Largo) and 61 (Greenbelt - Laurel Town Centre)
