Meet our Guest Host from WUSA9

From flash flooding and hail to 12 inches of snow piling up, Miri Marshall enjoys forecasting storms. The award-winning meteorologist joined the WUSA 9's weather team in September 2017.

Before WUSA, Miri worked at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, covering snow and ice storms. Her career includes stops at KCEN in Waco, TX, and KFOX TV in El Paso, TX, where she was a news anchor, weather anchor, and news reporter.
You can also call her Professor Marshall, who created and taught journalism and weather literacy courses at Morgan State University. She is passionate about weather literacy and enjoys visiting schools to encourage others to pursue STEM careers.

WUSA9 host, Green Summit

Before meteorology, Miri enjoyed a career in news, serving as a desk assistant, assignment editor, and field producer at ABC News in Los Angeles.

She is a proud graduate of Louisiana State University, where she learned the ropes of journalism. Miri studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.

As a New Orleans native, she describes herself as an uncouth Saints fan.

She has little spare time with a toddler but enjoys watching him grow and chasing him around the house.
When she has a minute, she enjoys reading, traveling, baking from scratch, eating fancy food, and watching football.

Be sure to watch her on Get Up DC! each weekday morning from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., where she provides concise forecasts to help you start your day.

You can also find Miri on Facebook and Twitter!
