County Curbside Waste Collection Services are Suspended for January 19

Regular Friday collections to be collected Saturday

LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Department of the Environment advises residents that all scheduled bulky, regular trash, recycling, and curbside bulky trash collections are operating on a one-day inclement weather schedule and shift by one day through Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Residents are reminded to leave their trash and recycling collection containers at the curbside, and that pickup can occur anytime from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Additionally, yard trim and food scrap composting collections are canceled for Monday, January 22, so that haulers can service any missed trash and recycling collections from this week. Regular trash and recycling schedules will resume Tuesday, January 23. Regular composting collections will resume Monday, January 29.

Services located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill, including acceptance sites, the Brown Station Road Public Convenience Center, and the Organics Composting Facility in Upper Marlboro, the Missouri Avenue Public Convenience Center in Brandywine, and the Materials Recycling Facility in Capitol Heights are operational, and will be monitored throughout the day for any possibility of early closure due to inclement weather.

Visit mypgc.us for weather-related closures and alert information. To register a missed collection, contact PGC311 after 8 p.m., Monday – Friday, or submit a request for assistance online at PGC311.com.
