Prince George’s County Announces Holiday Closings for New Year’s Day
Prince George’s County Government offices and facilities, with the exception of public safety agencies, will close on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday
LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Department of the Environment (DoE) announces the following services and facilities will be closed or suspended on Wednesday, January 1, 2025:

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will not operate on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Regular operations of TheBus resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Additionally, the County’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Regular operations of the County’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
The Prince George’s County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Also, PGC311 will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and will return to regular operations on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com.
