Prince George’s County Announces Holiday Closings for Thanksgiving Day 
County Government offices, with the exception of public safety agencies, will be closed 
on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday

LARGO, MD – The Department of the Environment (DoE) announces that the following offices, 
services and facilities will be closed or suspended for Thanksgiving Day.

Curbside Composting and Yard Trim Collections Regular collections occur on Monday, November 25, 2024

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T)will not operate on Thursday, November 28, 2024.  Regular operations of TheBus will resume on Friday, November 29, 2024, except Route 51X, which operates only in downtown Upper Marlboro during peak periods when the Courthouse is open. Regular operations on Route 51X will resume on Monday, December 2, 2024.  Additionally, the County’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Thursday, November 28, or Friday, November 29, 2024.  Regular operations will resume on Monday, December 2, 2024. 

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024.  Regular business hours will resume on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Also, PGC311 will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, 2024, and will return to regular operations on Monday, December 2, 2024, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com.
