Prince George’s County Closes Waste Facilities and Suspends Collection Services for Monday, January 6, Due to Inclement Weather Forecast
Regular collections for organics to resume the following Monday, January 13
LARGO, MD – Due to the severe weather forecast for Monday, January 6, the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment (DoE) will suspend organics/compost and yard trim collection. Per the County’s inclement weather guidelines, regular collections will move to Monday, January 13.
In addition, all bulky, scrap tires or white goods scheduled for collection on Monday, January 6, will be rescheduled. All other waste collections, starting Tuesday, January 7, remain on schedule but are subject to change based on weather and road conditions.
The Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill, 11611 White House Road, the Prince George’s County Organics Composting Facility at 6550 Maude Savoy Brown Road, and the Brown Station Road Residential Convenience Center at 3501 Brown Station Road, all in Upper Marlboro, the Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center at 12701 Missouri Avenue in Brandywine and the Materials Recycling Facility,1000 Ritchie Road in Capitol Heights will be closed on Monday, January 6.
