About the SYEP Program

The Summer Youth Enrichment Program (SYEP) offers County youth and young adults, ages 14 to 24, enriching and constructive summer work experiences in community organizations, private sector companies, and government agencies.

We strive to provide young people with the opportunity to:

• Learn new job skills while working
• Experience professional development opportunities
• Gain exposure to a diverse range of careers
• Participate in job readiness training
• Network with industry leaders
• Build positive working relationships
• Earn pay for meaningful and rewarding work experiences

How old will you be on July 1st? Select the appropriate age group:

Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. The application acceptance period has ended.

• Ages 14 & 15 
• Ages 16 & 17 
• Ages18 to 24 

Selection Process

Eligible SYEP candidates will be entered into a random lottery to receive an offer for an employment assignment. Employment assignment offers will continue to be extended to randomly selected eligible youth until all positions are filled. Former participants who have demonstrated exemplary performance may be requested by a host site.
