Spring Into Wellness: Adult Behavioral Health Expo
LARGO, MD-- As spring brings forth its rejuvenating aura, the Prince George’s County Local Behavioral Health Authority and the Department of Parks and Recreation proudly announce the inaugural "Spring Into Wellness: Adult Behavioral Health Expo" on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Southern Regional Technology and Recreational Complex in Fort Washington. This event is free to the public and promises an interactive and informative experience for attendees.
"We are thrilled to launch the Spring Into Wellness Expo as a platform to support and empower individuals on their journey towards better health and well-being," said Dr. Matthew Levy, Health Officer. "At a time when mental health awareness is more important than ever, this event serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity for our community."
In alignment with Mental Health Awareness Month and Physical Fitness and Sports Month, the Spring Into Wellness Expo aims to provide adults of all ages with access to vital resources and support in the realm of behavioral health. The event will bring together a diverse array of mental health professionals, wellness practitioners, and substance use treatment experts. From crisis intervention and suicide prevention to addiction recovery and physical fitness, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts and explore a wide range of topics crucial to their well-being.
